Who is Mark Meir

Ex programmer, ex IT software company owner and now I make a full time living on the internet. I have left office buildings, commuting and cellophane wrapped sandwiches behind me forever. Finally after 25 year I can work from anywhere, my home office, the garden, the beach or the local cafe. No more rush hour trains into central London, squashed between sweaty commuters, trying to avoid eye contact and the smell of burgers and chips, yeehaaa, Freedom !

From 1989 until 2006 I owned and managed my own IT Consultancy, managing big projects for bluechip companies around the world. During that period I managed large teams and some multi million Dollar projects. At some point things started slowing down and I decided that I’d had enough of the corporate world, I was spending so much time in airports and hotels, and missing out on family life and hobbies.

Since I started making a full living on the internet, I have loads of time for other interests, I meditate twice a day, do Yoga several times a week and go to the gym 6 days a week. I spend more time with my family and have time to read and go to the theatre too. I am an avid reader, anything from Spirituality and Philosophy to Russian novelists and contemporary literature. I have time to go visit galleries here in London almost every week and enjoy contemporary art, music and dance.

I am 54 and I know that there are a lot of people out there, in their 40′s and above who have lost their jobs in the current recession or who have brick and mortar businesses that are not doing well. Many seem to think that Internet marketing is a young person’s area, but that is a myth, Many successful internet marketers are middle aged, many have come in after running other businesses and many are just happy to learn new tricks.
